A 3D ear scan creates a detailed digital model of the outer ear and ear canal. Your audiologist first checks that your ears are suitable for scanning, then positions the scanner comfortably and captures the information needed for a custom-made device.

At Essence Audiology, we use Otoscan® 3D scanning technology to help make the custom-fitting process cleaner, more comfortable, and more precise.

Unlike conventional impression material, there is no expanding silicone material in the ear canal. Instead, the scan becomes a secure digital record that can be used to support the manufacture of suitable custom devices.
